WHY JOIN?

AABJ’s membership categories are the same as the membership categories of the National Association of Black Journalists. Membership in NABJ and membership in our chapter are paid separately, and you do not have to be a member of NABJ to join AABJ although we encourage you to do so.

All memberships in AABJ are based on annual dues that expire one year from the date they are paid.
So if you join on Aug. 1, your membership expires on Aug. 1 of the following year. All financial AABJ members will have access to:

-FREE access to all of our meetings and workshops
-FREE quality professional development programs
-Opportunity to win thousands of dollars in scholarships (college students only)
-Opportunities to win city perks and group discounts to citywide events
-Networking, Networking, Networking
