All AABJ members volunteer their time and efforts to make our organization one of the strongest NABJ chapters in the country. Each year AABJ recognizes a member whose hard work, diligence and dedication to the organization sets them apart from the membership. The Volunteer of the Year must be meet the following criteria:

• Must be a member of AABJ (dues must be current)
• Must have shown diligence and commitment to AABJ
• Nominating party must submit examples of nominee's service to AABJ
• May not have received the honor previously
