Rules and Eligibility
- Competition is open to all Metro Atlanta and Augusta, Columbus, Macon, Rome and Savannah journalists and communication practitioners.
- Entries must be a fair and accurate reflection of issues of special concern to African Americans and to the African American community.
- Entries must have been published or broadcasts and public relations events conducted between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2003..
- Entries must have aired or been published in the Metro Atlanta area or Augusta, Columbus, Macon, Rome and Savannah.
- Awards are presented to individuals, to groups or organizations.
- Individuals are restricted to one entry per category, but may enter more than one category.
- Instructions for each category must be followed.
- Each submission must have individual registration fees.
- If fewer than three entries are received in a given category, judges may choose not to award in that particular category.
- Judges also have the right not to award in any given category.
- Entries will not be returned.
