Pioneer Black Journalist Award
Each year, the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists honors a journalist for their work in the Atlanta market. The Pioneer Black Journalist is honored at our annual awards event. Nominees for the honor must meet the following criteria:
- 10 years experience in the Atlanta market (freelance or otherwise)
- Must be in good standing with AABJ
- Does not have to be a member of the national chapter
- May not have been awarded the honor previously
- Nominating party must submit reason for nomination (e.g. work history, community service, career accomplishments, etc.)
